Engineer's handbook
Seismic design values, wherever you are standing
Drop a pin anywhere in Iraq. The handbook reads the seismic code for that point and gives you the design parameters, the response spectrum, and a report you can put in the file.
How it works
Three things you enter. Everything else follows.
Each step needs only what came before it, so you can stop wherever your work stops.
-
Your location
Type a coordinate, use your position, or drop a pin on the map.
-
The spectrum
The shaking expected at your point, and the design spectrum drawn for you.
-
Your building
Add the building and see the forces it has to be designed to carry.
Standards
Work in the code your project uses
The hazard maps are always the Iraqi ones. You choose whose equations turn them into a spectrum, and the handbook switches its inputs to match.
Local
Iraqi Seismic Code
The national code, with the 2025 hazard maps behind it. The default, and the one your reviewer will expect.
American
ASCE 7
For projects written to the American standard, or clients who ask for it by name.
European
Eurocode 8
For consultants and clients who work to European practice.
The output
A report you can hand to a checker
One page, with your site on the hazard map, the spectrum you designed to, and the source of every number printed beside it.
Download it, email it, attach it to a submission. It opens on any device with no app, and prints to PDF when you need paper. The limits of the tool are stated on the page itself, so nobody has to guess what it is.
Engineer's handbook
Built on the published code
Every value is read from the national code, and every one tells you where it came from.
Works with no signal
Everything it needs is already on your phone, which is what a site visit actually requires.
In your language
Sorani, Kurmanji, Arabic and English, written right to left where it belongs.
