About Bumelerze
Bumelerze is an earthquake app and website for Kurdistan and Iraq, in your language. Its name comes from bûmelerze, the Kurdish word for earthquake.
Why Bumelerze exists
After the ground shakes, people look for news in their own language. Too often they find rumours and false predictions instead. Bumelerze gives clear information from named sources, in plain words, and asks what you felt so the shaking can be mapped. It is built on years of earthquake research in the region.
